Guillermoreturnstohiscellbeforeeveryonewakesup,andlistensasthevampiresdiscusshisfate.Whentheyhearhimmove,Guillermoreturnstohiscellandlockshimselfup.Nandorcomesdownandaskshowhisfamiliarisholdingout,andadmitsthatit'slikelythey'llkillGuillermo. Thefamiliarsaysthathe'sasoldierandlivesbythecodeofthewarrior.NandoragreesandbringsmorerawchickenforGuillermo.Thevampirethengoes,turningthelightson. Guillermohasputupsecuritycameratokeepaneyeonthevampires,andseesbatscirclingthehouse.ColinreportsthatGuillermoisn'tsendingoutsecretmessagesbutwillcontinuetocheckGuillermo'sbucket. Avampireenterstheroomasmist.Guillermorunsinandkillsit.Thefemalevampire,theGuide,survives,andsaysthatsheisn'ttheretokillanyone.ShecongratulatesGuillermoonbeingavampire-hunter,andsaysthattheyhadn'theardfromthembutsent87ravensasmessengers.Theyalsotriedtousethetelephone,butit'sGuillermo'sjobtoanswerthephoneandhewaslockedup. TheGuidesaysthattheSupremeWorldwideVampiricCouncilhassenthertoshowthemaVCRwiththeirmessage.AftertheychainupGuillermo,theGuideplaysthetape.TheHeadoftheCouncilapplaudsthemforeliminating70\\%ofthemostpowerfulvampiresintheTri-Statearea.TheHeadremindsthemthatthelawisthatvampiresdonotkillvampires.TheCouncilfiguresthefourvampiresknowhowtogetthingsdone,sothey'vebeenappointedtheleadersoftheEasternSeaboardVampiricCouncil.TheCouncilwillbemonitoringthem. TheGuidetellsthevampirethatshehasassistedeveryCouncilsince1769,andshe'shonoredtoassistthem.Thenextnight,she'lltakethemtotheCouncilbuilding. ColinbringsGuillermotothem,andNandorsaysthattheirfinaldecisionaboutGuillermoisthattheywon'tkillhimfornow.They'vedecidedtomakeGuillermoafully-fledgedmemberoftheteam,butnotavampire.Insteadthey'regoingtomakehimavampires'bodyguard.Guillermotakesitratherthandie,andthevampiresacceptGuillermo'sacceptance. BeforethevampiresremovethechainsfromGuillermo,theyusefour-wayhypnosisonhimandLaszlowarnsthattheoddsofGuillermobeingmentallystableafterwardareslim.Guillermoagrees,andtheytrytohypnotizehim. Guillermotellsthefilmcrewthatafteryearsofthevampireshypnotizinghim,he'simmunetovampirichypnosis.Hejustletsthemthinktheycanhypnotizehim. ThevampireshypnotizeGuillermotoneverharmthem,andheplaysalongwhenhecomesoutofhis"trance".
